Counseling Services Overview

Callaway High School counselors are a vital link to academic, career, and personal social development for all students. Working in collaboration with other educational programs in the high school, our professional school counselors ensure equity and access to programs and services so that every student is challenged and supported to achieve his/her highest potential.

At Callaway, counselors utilize the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Standards for School Counseling Programs, which address the academic, career, and personal/social (life skills) needs of all students.
Callaway High School counselors provide services that assist students in learning the knowledge and skills necessary for success. Counselors also measure the results of their programs, using data to determine our successes as well as areas that need improvement. Student and parental suggestions are welcome.

Jackson Public School counselors provide support for students through individual counseling, group information sessions, and electronic media. We also consult with parents, teachers, and administrators as well as collaborate with other community resources.

Our ultimate goal is to help students obtain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that lead to academic, career, and personal/social success.
