Teacher Professional Development Day | January 16, 2026 - No School for Scholars
JPS has designated January 16, 2026, as a Teacher Professional Development Day. Scholars will not have school on this day. These days are set aside for teachers to focus on training, planning, and collaborating to enhance their teaching practices.
MLK Day | January 19, 2026 - Districtwide Closure
All schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This day honors the life and legacy of Dr. King, whose unwavering commitment to justice, equality, service, and nonviolent leadership continues to inspire our nation and our JPS community. We encourage families and staff to take time to reflect on his enduring impact and the importance of serving others as we work together to build a more just and inclusive society.
